The Sony TC-142 is a stereo cassette deck, it was introduced by Sony in 1978 and discontinued a year later.

The TC-142 is equipped with, tape type selection with support for normal tapes.

Tape eject is operated mechanically and the cassette needs to be placed with the side to be played facing forward in the cassette well.
